Proto-North Caucasian: *ʒHĔmVḳĂ
Sino-Caucasian etymology: Sino-Caucasian etymology
Meaning: ant
Proto-Nakh: *ʒɦVnḳa-t ( ~ -g-)
Proto-West Caucasian: *źǝmǝḳ(ʷ)a
Notes: A Nakh-WC isogloss; the reflexes are highly irregular (because of the root's semantic), but the presence in all forms of a front sibilant, a nasal and a velar make the comparison rather likely.

See Abdokov 1983, 124 (Nakh:Ub.; the author adds also several other EC and WC forms which belong to other roots).

Abkhaz: a-šǝ́š-ḳamsa
Abaza: č́-ḳlams (Ash.)
Ubykh: źǝngʷá
Comments: PAT *-ḳamǝśǝ (cf. also Bzyb. a-śǝ́ś-ḳamś, a-śǝ́ś-ḳlamś). The first component (Abkh. šǝš-, Bzyb. śǝś-, Abaz. č́-) is not clear. The PAT form can be related to Ubykh if we assume a metathesis (*ḳamǝśǝ < *śVmVḳV) and assimilative / dissimilative processes - which is not surprising in an expressive root like this (cf., e.g., numerous irregularities in the IE root for 'ant' - *morm- / *morw- / *bhorm- etc.).

Meaning: ant
Bizkaian: iñurri
Gipuzkoan: txingurri
Low Navarrese: xinaurri
Lapurdian: zinaurri
Zuberoan: üñhǘrri
Comments: GIP and BNV have diminutive palatalized forms. Mitxelena mentions the GIP disparaging nickname Zingurri 'Ant'. BZK iñurri, ZBR üñhǘrri exhibit irregular loss of initial /s/, or blended with a distinct initial element (?). Cf. PNC *ʒHĔmVḳĂ 'ant'.
