Сюда же относят греч. λάχνος, λάχνη "шерсть, волос" из *vl̥ksnā (см. Сольмсен, Unters. gr. Lautl. 125 и сл.; однако ср. Буазак 562). Далее связывается с во́лос (Лиден, там же).
