Notes : A very weak root. Indeed, it is almost unnoticeable, since in most languages it has become hopelessly contaminated with *pēr- 'big' (which explains the initial voiceless p- in Konda). However, its well-defined vocalism and occasional initial voiced b- clearly speak in favor of its separate treatment.
