Далее сюда же относят греч. ᾽Αχέρων -- название реки в преисподней, ἀχερούσια ̇ ὕδατα ἑλώδη (Гесихий), иллир. ᾽Οσεριάτες; см. Прельвиц, ВВ 24, 106; Кречмер, "Glotta", 14, 97 и сл.; Траутман, ВSW 73; Арr. Sprd. 304 и сл.; сомнения в связи с греч. словами ввиду наличия ἀ- высказывает Мейе (ВSL 25, 11 и сл.; 29, 38 и сл.), сближающий о́зеро с яз (см.). Ср. сербохорв. па̀клени jа̑з = па̀клено jе̏зеро.
