Notes: A Tsez-Lak. isogloss; not quite regular (in PTs we would rather expect *ž:-), and an old loan is not excluded. Cf. also Osset. zäɣ 'rain' (from Caucasian rather than from Turkic *jag, despite Abayev 1989, 292).
