Since in Caucasian languages the meanings 'soft' and 'warm' are often interrelated (cf., e.g., *tVntV ), we may think that another old derivate of the same root is PTsKh *bobo-RV 'hot' (Tsez. boboru, Gin. bobore, Inkh. bobolu), which otherwise has no etymology.
