Comments: Cf. also Kait. beḳ id. The root within Darg. had merged with beḳ 'head' (which may have been favoured by the same process in modern Lezghian languages, see PEC *ƛ̣[ɨ̆]lĭ), but the Tsez. parallels show that this is a secondary process.
