Comment: 4th class in all class-distinguishing languages. Obl. base *ḳac̣a- (Rut., Tsakh. ḳac̣a-). Perhaps we should also relate here Tab. Kand. ḳec̣ 'reel, spool' ( = "piece of wood with a hole"), although the vowel -e- is not clear.
