Comments: In literary Chech. the root is present only as a compound element of zʕok-berg 'pick-axe'; cf., however, Itumk., Khild. berg id. For Bacbian Matsiyev adduces also a form barg 'hammer for incising the mill-stone' which is probably a variant of the same root.
