Notes : Vowel length in Kuwi_F is due to compensatory lengthening because of impossibility of geminating -h-. In the form kahū the lengthening probably did not occur to avoid two long vowels (although this is not a strict rule in Kuwi, and etymologically long vowels are never shortened before long vowels of the endings). NB: the same lengthening is characteristic of Kuwi_Isr.
