Comments:This stem has nothing to do with *una- 'to handle, to obtain' despite CED; it is not a verbal stem but a nominal one. If it were a verbal derivative the meaning would be sth. like 'big instrument for obtaining smth.' or 'handle'. Cf. PCh *'ъnatɨ= 'макарша, edible root'.
