Notes: Bla Beja, 5 (apud Huds., Rein.). It is not clear whether -k in Beja continues only *-k or also *-ḳ. Acc. to Dolg. 1976, 331, *-ḳ- > Beja -ʔ/0-; acc. to Bla. CL, 2, *ḳ > Beja ḳ; and acc. to EDE I, 269, *ḳ > Beja k. As for the Inlaut -ḥ- postulated for the present root, all three sources postulate *ḥ > Beja h, which still needs verification
