NOTES: Likely related to this root are forms with prefixed and suf- fixed ʕ in Syr. ʕaḳrūḳā 'rana' [Brock. 544], [PS 2974], Tgr. ḳorǝʕ 'frog' [LH 243] and Tna. ḳʷǝrʕo 'rana' [Bass. 292] (with an interesting remark "dicesi pure ḳʷǝrʕob").
