Comments and references : The PEC form looks like an old compound, perhaps *ɦwVla-qē < *ɦwVla-qǝ̆lV̆ (*qǝ̆lV̆ ‘house, hut’), with the second lateral dropped by dissimilation. In any case, only the PEC segment *ɦwVla- is compared with Bsq *oɫha. Etymological comparison suggested by John Bengtson.
