Comments: The Lush. form can be alternatively compared with OCh. *cūks (~ ć-) cooking-place, stove. Cf. also Konyak *ʒak / *chak, Manipuri chak 'burn', Naga *cuk, Magar chok 'dry'; perhaps also Tujia lau.4 tshi.4, Lepcha să-tsŭk, Aka *ʒV 'sun'.
