Tibetan: bgo (p., i. bgos) to dress, gos garment, dress.
Burmese: LB *watx garment, cloth.
Lushai: vuaʔ to wear or put on (boots, nose-ring, hat etc.).
Lepcha: tă-go, ta-go a jacket
Kiranti: *wà(s)
Comments: Kanauri gasa; Rawang gwa ~ ga, nuŋ-wat to cover breasts (nuŋ) with breast-cloth, Trung gwa1 to wear on; Rgyarung wya-n I wear, tewyet clothes. Sh. 125, 133; Ben. 29, 44. The Tib. form can be alternatively compared with OCh. 衣 *ʔǝj garment, clothes (see Simon 29). Cf. perhaps Mikir hu, Naga *hU 'skin, bark' (?). [Cf. also: Tib. ko 'skin, hide, leather'; OC 裘 *gʷǝ 'fur garment'.]
