Burmese: wajh whirlpool.
Kachin: phuŋ2-wai2 whirlpool, (H) wai whirl, as a whirlpool; stir, as with a ladle.
Lushai: vai wave (the hand, arm).
Comments: Mikir iŋvei fly around (as an insect); Rawang thi buŋ wai whirlpool. In some languages (Burm., Jnp.) a merger with *qʷǝ̄l (q. v.) occurred. Ben. 32.
