Comments: Cf. Kanauri di-ši- 'lie', Tani *do, Bodo *tu id. One should perhaps also relate here Lush. toi, KC *toi 'short' < *'lying low'; for a similar semantic change cf. *[lj]ǝ̆ŋ (and similar semantic relations, e.g., in Germanic). Sag. 6 compares Chin. with PAN *tuDuR 'sleep'.
