Proto-Sino-Tibetan: *tĕk (~ d-)
Meaning: go to, depart
Tibetan: thegs, ãthegs to set out on a journey, to depart, to go.
Comments: In Tib. the root can be confused with thegs, ãthegs lift, pack up (although the Chinese parallels show that they were originally different). Cf. Austric: PAN *qindig 'step, tred', PAA *tVk 'go, walk'.
