Comments:ССЕ 289. Werner 2, 295 <*thuĺ / *suĺ> (the variant *suĺ is quite erroneous - based on the Yug form suĺgej, obviously borrowed from Turkic - cf. Tuv. sologaj etc.).
Proto-Yenisseian:*tul-(x)aʔq
Meaning:rotten wood
Ket:tulaq5
Yug:tulax5
Kottish:thalak, thalax, pl. thalagan, thalakŋ "rotten wood"; thalaga "rotten"
Comments:ССЕ 289. Probably an old comp[ound: for the second part cf. PY *xaʔq 'wood'. Ket > Selk. tollak 'rotten wood' (see Helimski КС 247). Werner 2, 285.
Comments:The comparison with Kott. d́era (proposed in ССЕ 215) should be probably abandoned, see under *jVʔra - which is probably observed here in the second syllable (PY *tun-jVʔra). Werner 2, 286 *thun'ǝl / *thulǝn'.
Comments:ССЕ 290-291. Kott. has a reduplication (Werner 2, 285 reconstructs <*thuʔǝlǝ> and gives a rather obscure comment: "ass., kott. thutu- villeicht < *thuʔu- ?"). Arin possibly reflects a compound with the first component PY *seŋ 'liver'.
Comments:ССЕ 291. The available forms allow to reconstruct the root *ti- / *ta- (with a verbal complement -Vǯ in Ket-Yug). Connected may be also a not quite clear Yug formation: toud́ej3 'to push', toutfɨt́3 'to shove', as well as the second verbal stem with a dental in Ket (Кастр.) aʁ-as-ti (imper.) "hack!" (see also related forms under *ʔit- / *ʔat-). The same verbal stem can be probably discovered in Arin and Pumpokol in the phrase "the thunder strikes" (lit. "God strikes"), cf. Ar. es b́at́ānt́u (М., Сл., Кл.), es b́athianta (Срсл.); Pump. eč-hittióxdu (Сл.), ečhitioxda (Срсл., Кл.). In ССЕ 280 I have additionally (on the basis of Ket, Kottish and Arin forms) reconstructed a separate root *ta(j)- 'to stick into' (accepted, although with a question mark, by Werner 1, 196-197) - which is in fact a variant of the same PY *tV-. Werner 2, 243 <*thaʔǝd'ǝ / *taʔkǝd'ǝ> 'beat, strike'.
Proto-Yenisseian:*tVʔt
Meaning:a k. of fish (таймень)
Ket:tɔʔt, pl. tɔtn5
Yug:tɔʔt, pl. tɔtn5
Kottish:thīt, pl. thātn
Comments:ССЕ 291. May be borrowed from Samoyed, cf. Selk. tut, tutɨ 'crucian; Cyprinus carassius' (from Ural. *totke, see Redei 532). Werner 2, 282 *thoʔt / *thǝt (doubts the Uralic origin).
Proto-Yenisseian:*t-Vj
Meaning:to sprinkle, spatter
Ket:ɛ́t-tij
Yug:d-ɛ́s-a-ta-b-i 'ich bespritze ihn (mit Wasser u.s.w.)'
Comments:ССЕ 293. The reconstruction is very approximate, since neither Ket-Yug nor Kottish parallels are known. Werner (1, 357) thinks that the Ar. form means 'fish scales' - however, a derivation from ilti 'fish' is hardly possible in this case.
